00:00:00

      [inaudible]

00:00:02

CAM   Ah, we need to make a motion for the approval of February twenty-seventh twenty twenty-five’s meeting minutes.

00:00:08

VP    I motion approve.

00:00:09

F     And second it.

P     Aye.

00:00:10

CAM   Whoa, passed. Okay.

P     Third.

00:00:17

CAM   All favor.

00:00:18

P     Aye.

F     Aye.

00:00:20

CAM   President’s report.

00:00:23

P     Keep those close.

CAM   That was fast, huh?

00:00:24

P     Yeah, I’m still on this one.

00:00:26

P     Okay

00:00:29

P     Ah, where am I gonna start off of?

00:00:33

P     Okay, we’ve had a complaint about landscaping that I am spending too much money on landscaping. Um, [sigh], really this is gonna be a kind of a long process. Okay, we’ve gone through this before. Um, first I’m gonna start off by -- I’ve had a couple of complaints by a few people that, what is today? Thursday? Ah... yesterday, actually. Wednesday I had two different people, one sent an email.

00:01:13

P     The U.S.D.A. came to our property. That is the United States Department of Agriculture.

00:01:22

P     Now, this came from a complaint probably three to four years ago. That there was a homeowner that had a citrus tree in a pot. They asked me if they could put that citrus tree in front of their unit. Um, [redacted name] and [redacted name] are not here.

00:01:45

P     But anyway, I told them, “Yes, go ahead,” as I let people do whatever they want. Within one week of them planting this citrus tree, ah, it’s, orange, Mandarin, whatever... citrus plant, okay? Um, the U.S.D.A., the United States Department of Agriculture, was called and the complainant said that we are illegally growing citrus on our property for profit.

00:02:22

P     Which, yes, you do need an agricultural license for doing that. Those are people that grow crops of citrus plantations, okay? It’s the federal government. It’s not the state government. So, I had to explain to them that this is the only citrus tree on this property. So, they came and inspected the citrus tree, that one twenty-four inch tree, and decided yes, there is no citrus canker on it. There were no fruit flies on it. And this does not constitute an issue to the Florida State Agricultural Commission [laughs to himself].

00:03:12

P     I am not kidding. This is the real deal. So, on Wednesday, yesterday, I noticed that there was a United States Government plate on a vehicle driving on our property. So, once again I went and introduced myself. And yes, the lady said she is from the United States Department of Agriculture, and she is once again inspecting our property for us growing citrus for profit.

00:03:51

P     Once again, this is not true, but I did have to let her know that, yes, the citrus trees we have is the same one -- three years ago they were here that’s probably, maybe, forty inches tall. But I did have to tell her in front of my place I do have a twenty-four inch citrus tree that will probably bloom citrus in the next five years.

00:04:18

P     But there is another unit, which that individual is not here, [redacted name] and [redacted name], that he grows a lot of citrus too, and avocados, and all kinds of good stuff, tomatoes, which he actually gave me some and they’re delicious.

00:04:34

P     So, the Department of Agriculture had to go over to their unit to inspect all of their trees. Um, in layman’s term, there is nothing wrong with any of the trees they’re growing. The two other trees, no, there are no fruit flies. There are no big citrus canker that’s gonna wipe out the entire state of Florida’s citrus industry.

00:05:03

P     So -- but the problem is, complaint gets called to -- the United States Department of Agriculture. Now, with the new laws that DeSantis has signed that says if you complain to city, state, local, you have to give your name. Unfortunately, federal you don’t give your name.

00:05:31

P     Now, the person that lit me up on an email was complaining that I didn’t give her notice that a federal agency was coming around their property. As a person that worked with the federal government, we don’t notify people we’re coming. I can guarantee you that. I was part of the largest branch of the federal government, and no, we did not tell them, “Yes, at Oh two hundred hours we are coming to do that.”

00:06:06

P     And the branch of government that I was involved with was the DoD. In layman’s terms, no, we didn’t tell Saddam Hussein at Oh two hundred we’re going to bomb the shit out of you, okay? That’s just not the way our federal government works.

00:06:21

P     So, it became an issue that I am not showing transparency that the federal government is coming to inspect our property. The federal government’s not gonna tell me they’re coming. No federal agency will tell you, “Yes, we are coming,” no matter if it’s a DoD, the UBT, the whoever, ICE, I think. They don’t say, “Hey, guess what? We’re gonna go raid your place at fourteen hundred hours, so get all the illegals out.” I -- I don’t think they work that way.

00:06:57

P     I know when I was part of the federal government, no we didn’t tell people, “Yes, we’re coming at this certain time.” The federal government does not let us know they are coming on this property, nor do they have to tell us.

00:07:12

P     Okay, the next thing that I’ve got is nasty email about I am spending way too much money on landscaping on our property. Well, obviously, people don’t realize what I’m doing on our property. If you look around our property, our azaleas are screaming like Augusta National right now. Why are they doing that? Because we have soil now. We don’t have sand and washout. Why do we have soil? Because we replace everything. We use the leaves. We use the mulch. What does that do? Creates soil. I’m not a botanist, but there is actually a homeowner here that does have a degree in it that I just found out.

00:07:58

P     But anyways, he understands what we are doing on this property. So no, we are not wasting money on this. Since we have soil now, I’m gonna give you a couple of examples of the individual that says I am wasting so much money on this property.

00:08:17

P     As you can tell, our azaleas are screaming like Augusta National right now because we are repurposing all of our stuff. I buy seeds from Amazon. I bought, this is just one example, royal poinciana trees. I buy twenty seeds for ten dollars. Now a royal poinciana tree, if you just buy a two to three foot tree, it is ranging in the range of a hundred and forty-five to a hundred and fifty dollars for one tree. I get twenty seeds for ten dollars. Right now we have eleven royal poinciana trees that are way above two and three feet. Ah, the one behind my house is probably racking about almost twenty feet right now.

00:09:15

P     So if anybody knows about royal poinciana trees, they are very tropical, beautiful-blooming trees. Ah, they are growing on this property two times faster than what the average is on those trees. So for ten dollars I get twenty seeds. Out of the twenty seeds, I got eleven of them to grow and that’s the price. Do the math.

00:09:43

P     Okay, silk floss trees. One silk floss tree runs eighty-five dollars. That tree is two-and-a-half to three feet. Okay, the silk floss tree, once again --behind my place, I bought ten of them; one of them germinated, so -- but I paid ten dollars for ten seeds. I only got one to germinate, but a three foot tree is eighty-five dollars, so do the math. You’ve already made seventy-five dollars, but that’s only two to three foot tree. That tree right there is probably about twenty-five feet tall. It’s gonna be worth more than eighty-five dollars.

00:10:23

P     We repurpose a lot of our landscaping. Eighty percent of the landscaping on this property has been repurposed. I have numerous homeowners, a couple of them in here, thank you [redacted name] and [redacted name] and other people that, uh, [redacted name]’s not here but, um, they go to Lukas nursery. They buy something. It’s not growing right, they give it to me. We have a little nursery back here that we made. I repurpose it instead of throwing it away. A lot of this stuff is really thriving on the property.

00:11:01

P     So once again, it’s zero cost of money because all you got to pay is for the labor. Oh, that’s right. My labor is free ‘cause I don’t get paid. So, ah...

00:11:16

P     Also, I have a very good relationship with the landscaping company. Our landscapers are now doing a lot of sod installation. In the last two weeks I have gotten three pallet -- just under three pallets of Saint Augustine sod. Because what they do is, they don’t have a place to put their sod ‘cause we bought out their nursery. I’ve done this in former meeting and gave everybody the prices of that. So I take their extra sod. They bring it to me. They even deliver it to us so we don’t even pay delivery charge, and we put it down.

00:12:01

P     So that’s three pallets of sod we never paid for. Once again, obviously, it’s saving money and quite a bit of money.

00:12:12

P     So, um, one thing we are gonna do is there is a new type of Saint Augustine grass. As you can tell the front of our clubhouse looks like hell. We have tried and tried over the years to get grass to grow there.

00:12:31

P     Um, the reason for that is before I got on the board, [sighs], there was a fertilizer that was put down there that totally fried the living tar out of it, and I got in trouble because I wasn’t on the board for telling them “Don’t put that down.” This was a, I forgot what their numbers were, but it was a twenty-five thirty fifty fertilizer. That fertilizer is meant straight for crops. I flipped the bag over, and I told them do not dump that on there because the instructions for that fertilizer was to use one tablespoon por hundred gallons. This was fertilizer for crops. They dumped forty pounds on that small section right there. Fried it for years.

00:13:24

P     So, we are going to attempt to do this new type of turf that has came out. This is a hybrid Saint Augustine grass that was genetically engineered at UF and UCF. It’s called Vista, ah, ProVista Saint Augustine grass. We are gonna try and put that up there to try and get that to grow now. Um, will it work? The arborists and our landscapers say it will. So we are gonna be doing that very soon to try and get this grass. And I actually looked this grass up. The PGA is actually starting to use this in the dryer sections of PGA golf courses, which I do have a little bit of experience with, like in the desert areas and Phoenix and stuff.

00:14:25

P     And it seems to be working, so we’re gonna try it there. So in the next few weeks we’re going to get rid of whatever that is growing out there and try and invest in that.

00:14:39

P     But as far as the individuals that are saying that I am wasting money on the landscaping, they really need to look at how much I have actually saved. And I’ve done this in former meetings. Um, obviously people write down notes from this former meetings. Let them look at their notes and figure that out.

00:15:01

P     So, other than that I think I’m gonna have to chill out on the landscaping. But one thing I do have to say is, landscaping plays a major part of our operations because, and I know certain individuals will disagree with this, but number one thing that displaces water is trees. [unintelligible] trees, landscaping, Saint Augustine, look it up for yourself.

00:15:35

P     How much does Saint Augustine absorb in water? Okay, it displaces water. We get in Central Florida fifty-three inches of rain per year. We’re on thirteen acres of property. Do the math. So for every inch of thirteen inches, you get fifty-one inches of rain. That is a lot of water. Plus that’s just our property. Plus we are taking the water from Douglas Avenue. We are also taking in the water from North Street. Um, I have been called on, [sighs], the city, the Seminole County watershed people, Saint Johns Water Management, and I’ve explained to them and showed them and gave them exactly how much water we are displacing on this property.

00:16:40

P     Now somebody will argue Dan doesn’t know anything about water displacement. This is what I went to school for because if you can understand how water displaces through a say hundred and twenty thousand ton Ford class carrier to a ballistic missile submarine, then you are displacing water at zero buoyancy.

00:17:06

P     So that means you have to displace water with no gravity. It’s a big process. I can sit here and talk to you until next year about that, on how that process works. It’s a lot of schooling to figure that out. So, we have gravity-fed water here. If you look at our property, common sense, we’re on a bowl. Everything flows downhill. Niagara, it goes downhill. I mean from the glaciers all the way down to New York City, and what they don’t use goes into the Atlantic. It’s called gravity. Welcome to Planet Earth. So...

00:17:46

P     So other than that, that’s all I got to say about all that. So hopefully, that will -- apparently the people that keep complaining aren’t here, but maybe that will ease their situation on how I’m wasting money on landscaping and not preventing water displacement.

00:18:05

P     Okay,

00:18:06

F     Thank you.

P     I’ve got a -- that’s done.

00:18:07

F     [Laughs].

00:18:09

P     Lot to absorb there people. But...

00:18:12

CAM   Let’s skip on to the admin report.

00:18:14

P     Thank you.

00:18:15

CAM   You’re welcome.

00:18:17

P     Gonna need water after that.

F     You don’t have anything? [Over President].

00:18:19

AC    Um, well, yeah, I can just say a couple of things.

00:18:22

CAM   Sure.

00:18:24

AC    Um, I’ll get up there, I guess.

[People at the table laughing]

[Interposing voices]

00:18:28

F     Come on down.

00:18:29

AC    It’s not as comfortable in that chair.

00:18:31

CAM   Come on up.

00:18:32

AC    These last long as our chairs.

00:18:35

AC    So...

P     Well -- well, hold on. Before you do that, okay, this is a committee member. This isn’t a board member because right now we are dissecting from the obvious complaint what is the difference between, [sighs], a board meeting, a community meeting and a town-hall meeting.

00:18:58

P     She is not a board member. That’s why the board is sitting here. This is a committee member, so she can stand at the podium. That’s why I didn’t get up there at the podium. Go ahead.

00:19:11

AC    And that’s what I want to talk about a little bit. Um, going forward board meetings...

00:19:14

P     It’s ridiculous.

00:19:15

AC    Going -- going forward board meetings are going to be a little bit different. Um, if -- if people when they move into a condominium community would understand how condominium living works, it be so much easier. But we all don’t. We have lives and do other things.

00:19:30

AC    Board meetings, and I’ve talked about this in the past, board meetings are just that. It is a meeting of the board to discuss activities, um, ongoing things that are happening, um, in the community, for them to make decisions that can only be made at board meetings. So from now on the board will be handling a round board meeting. They will not be facing the audience.

00:19:58

AC    They at the end will allow questions in regards to, and this has been the -- the way it always has been, in regards to just agenda items only.

00:20:13

AC    When they stand here and people make comments, it -- we take things very seriously.

00:20:23

AC    And we take things to heart.

00:20:25

AC    And this board, and I’ve said it so many times; I don’t know how many times more I say it. This board cares about the community. And sometimes decisions they make are not the best decisions that you might agree with. The decisions that they have to make are their fiduciary responsibility, and how the community can [indistinct word].

00:20:47

AC    And you may not agree, and you may agree. I -- I don’t know. But there’s a reason behind every action this board takes.

00:20:58

AC    It’s not personal. It’s never personal. But if we didn’t do the things the way we do –- do them, then we would have individual or individuals reporting things on us all the time. Now, I don’t know about you, but I don’t wanna pay fines every time I turn around.

00:21:16

AC    I -- I rather buy shoes ‘cause I love shoes. I’m not sure I have enough. But, you know, that’s what I’d rather do with my money, and other things.

00:21:27

AC    Huh?

P     Nothing.

F     Nothing.

00:21:28

P     Nothing of use.

00:21:29

AC    Dan says I have three hundred pairs. I don’t have three hundred pairs of shoes.

P     I’m thinking [speaking over AC].

00:21:31

M     Yes, you do [from man seated with homeowners].

00:21:33

AC    But anyways, um, that’s how the board meetings are gonna be conducted, um, from here on out. If anybody questions things, come to the board and ask. You know, we -- we have things, you know, that happened recently that weren’t good for either side. That is not what this board has always been about. That is not what this community has been about. And if things were said, they were heard by someone, and -- and it was, you know, it -- it’s the way things have been done. But we’ve never had -- we’ve had separation long before. And some of the older folks that have been living here, we’ve had separation. We don’t want that separation anymore. W -- we’re -- we’re done with that separation.

00:22:12

AC    And this board has had to make some really difficult decisions lately that have impacted people, but it will come around again. We will -- we will, you know, do things differently. We will get back to. But we’re not gonna sit here and tolerate comments during the board meeting and have other people say, you know. That -- that’s just child -- that’s just stupid. Stupid.

00:22:34

AC    So this is what a board meeting’s gonna be. So they’ll talk amongst themselves. You’ll hear them talking. And then afterwards you’ll ask questions.

00:22:44

AC    I wanted to add on to what Dan was talking about, about the, um, landscaping and such. You know the relationships that this board has made with contractors. And I wish people would ask us these questions more. The relationships that Dan had even before coming here when he worked for Isleworth and Lake Nona. He brought those relationships to this community.

00:23:11

AC    And these relationships that we have built with other contractors has saved us money because when you build a relationship with people, you get sometimes free things or you might barter a little bit, you know. And when I say barter, is our landscaper brings things in so therefore he’s allowed to dump certain things ‘cause we need certain things to fill things. So he in turn gives us free -- free mulch. I mean free, um, grass. Any who wouldn’t like that? We all like free things, right?

00:23:43

AC    So we saved so much money that way. And people don’t realize and see that. And this man right here works on this property, out there doing it for free. And he’s done it for six years. Why does he do it? Because he loves our community. He wants to save us money. So therefore, he does it. And you know, you got to give him -- you got to give him kudos because whatever he grows, he plants himself.

00:24:15

AC    [Redacted name]’s doing other things. Sometimes it’s [redacted name], you know, does that, our -- our maintenance guy. But you got to give him kudos. And then you got Diane who’s out busting her butt with a -- with, and I gotta say this about these -- the -- you know. She came she came off the painting project, then went to the roofing project. Was it roofing? And then went to the fire inspection.

00:24:37

UNKNOWN     [light laughter].

00:24:38

H1    Fire extinguishers.

AC    Boy, does everybody know her.

00:24:43

AC    But you’ve got to give her kudos for doing that. What board members, what people would do this for our folks here?

00:24:50

AC    And if you would join us, that’s great. Be part of us. Don’t fight against us. Don’t -- don’t, you know, don’t say, “Ohhh,” you, know, whatever. Now, work with us. That’s what we want. We want this community to work together. We don’t want separation and division. We’ve worked to fricken hard to have that.

00:25:12

AC    So with that being said, I think, um, I think I’m -- I’m good.

00:25:16

F     [interposing word or words].

00:25:18

AC    Yeah. Thanks.

00:25:19

P     Okay, a quick comment on what she said about what Diane does. Nightmare. Boy, she has put up with is above and beyond. Okay, yeah, I’m the grunt out on the street. But what she’s dealing with, I wouldn’t even deal with because I -- believe you me, people would not be happy with me. What’s she’s had to deal with because, yeah, I mean, yeah, it’s.

00:25:49

P     I mean, to bring a hundred and twenty people together to try and schedule this ‘cause everybody works. Everybody has other things. Nobody just sits around going, “Okay, I don’t have any life, so I’m just gonna sit here twenty-four seven waiting for Diane to friggin knock at my door.” Nobody on this property has that going on. They might wish they did, but no.

00:26:13

P     So when she had to schedule, what she had to do, absolute friggen nightmare. So like I say, I mean, I would have even more hair dye than I already use if I was in charge of that. It was tough for what she did on numerous fronts.

00:26:32

P     Alright, go ahead, Angela.

00:26:37

CAM   Um, got the admin report?

00:26:39

P     Yeah.

00:26:40

CAM   Go ahead.

00:26:41

VP    Some unfinished business to conduct.

00:26:43

F     [Indistinct words].

P     Oh. Don’t you have the report?

F     [indistinct words over President]

00:26:45

F     That’s this.

F     No.

00:26:45

F     That was for you.

00:26:47

F     Unfinished business.

00:26:48

F     [Indistinct words].

P     No, admin’s gonna go after.

00:26:50

P     You’re going after.

00:26:51

F     No.

P     You should have went before admin.

F     Okay. [Said over President]

00:26:53

F     No, this one is.

F     Yeah.

P     Go for it.

F     Yeah.

00:26:54

VP    We’re having new business now. I’m last.

00:26:57

CAM   Okay.

P     Oh, you’re last?

VP    Yeah.

00:26:59

CAM   Yep. So we’re gonna...

00:27:00

P     Oh, I’m sorry. I’m reading

00:27:01

CAM   We’re – that’s okay. We’re gonna go to asphalt repair.

00:27:03

VP    Okay. So, um, we’ve got some sections that, um, where they took the trees down, um, in the front of my unit and, ah, also in front of one seventy-one, um, the -- where the took the trees down it’s depressing. Um, also in front of one forty-nine there’s a small little section there that the asphalt is completely deteriorated. Ah, so I’m in the process of getting two, um, estimates to get those -- those sections repaired. Um, so as soon as I get those, um, estimates, then I’ll be getting that taken care of, okay?

00:27:41

P     Okay. Also, with that that’s why the cones are there. Because if your driving right there, that’s why we posted the cones, yeah, straight right there. Um, I don’t know what he’s [indistinct word] my last [indistinct word], yeah.

00:27:53

VP    [speaking over president] It’s taken me a bit. It’s taken me a while to get the two estimates.

00:27:54

P     But.

00:27:56

P     But we have the cones sitting there because if your driving through there, ah, that depression’s pretty heavy there. So we don’t want to screw anybody’s cars up, including my own. Ah, so, ah, the truck is fine, but people driving there cars, that’s why the cones are gonna be there until we get this fixed, so.

00:28:17

VP    I do have one estimate. I’m waiting for the second estimate.

00:28:20

P     Yeah, ‘cause we want to get multiple estimates, so we can, you know, shop it down, see what is good to go.

00:28:27

VP    Okay. Also, ah, recently we’ve looked at, ah, we’re gonna be looking at the rules and regulations to see if we need to amend those, to see if, ah, to update those, um, according to what the new, ah, statues are. Make sure that we’re updated on those, so we’ll be going through those, um.

00:28:48

P     [Indistinct words] but we’ve got to keep up with the Florida Statute.

00:28:51

F     Okay.

00:28:52

CAM   Ah, wrist – wristbands.

00:28:53

VP    [At same time as CAM] Wristbands.

00:28:54

CAM   Yep.

VP    So we’ve been talking about, um, looking into getting wristbands for the pool. Um, summer’s coming up, and be honest we have a lot of people during the summer that jump the fence. And, ah, to tell you the truth, I’m tired of it. I have to take control of the pool.

00:29:12

F     Yeah.

00:29:13

VP    And, um, we do get a lot of people that, um, that, especially from Douglaston and from down the street, who like to come in use our Jacuzzi and our pool, especially at late night.

00:29:25

F     mm-hmm.

VP    Um, so unfortunately, that’s my job to get -- catch them, call the –- we’ve been trespassing them. And it that did deter them for a little bit, um, because we tell ‘em we’re trespass you, and, ah, so let your people know that they are gonna be trespassed, and that slows you down for a little while, and then they come back again.

00:29:47

P     Come back [speaks over VP].

00:29:48

VP    Um, and they’ve gotten sneakier because there’s a group that is -- they’re habitual trespassers, and they’ve learned to park, not up front here, but down this way and down towards you guys.

00:30:01

F     [Homeowner] mm-hmm.

VP    And so, ah, we’re thinking of getting wristbands. Um, and you’ll be getting, ah, two per unit, and they are [words obscured by someone coughing]. And if they don’t have wristband, then they will be, um, [indistinct words] told to leave the pool area. So if you have guests, at least one of those guests would have to have a wristband. Um, and no, I -- I think that would [indistinct word].

00:30:24

CAM   Do they come during the day?

00:30:25

VP    Oh, yeah.

00:30:26

P     Day and night.

VP    [Speaking over P] [indistinct words] I had one on Sunday afternoon.

00:30:29

P     Yeah.

00:30:30

F     They don’t realize that you know everybody in here because you have to go door to door.

00:20:32

F     I know.

00:30:33

F     [laughter]

00:30:34

VP    Yeah, and -- and th -- yeah, that individual I [indistinct words] and called the cops on was gonna to be embarrassed. So I did call the cops, and he was still sitting there, and he -- he was, um, escorted. He was trespassed. And I [indistinct word] very stupid.

00:30:48

P     Yeah, I can see ‘em jumping the fence from my screened room.

00:30:50

F     Yeah. But, um [words obscured by other speaker].

00:30:53

VP    But anyway [indistinct words]. Yeah. So, um, and -- and you have the problem with people bringing glass. And all those trespassers, they bring glass in, and we can’t have them bringing glass into, ah, the Jacuzzi area, um, bringing other paraphernalia that...

00:31:10

F     Absolutely.

VP    [continues speaking] Um, things that children are not supposed to be exposed to.

00:31:15

F     Yeah. Yeah.

F     For sure.

00:31:16

VP    So, um.

00:31:17

P     Needles.

VP    That’s something that we’re gonna be searching to see how much that’s gonna cost. And, um, and, you know, I mean that -- that -- that might help deter, um, me having to come out and look and see if they don’t have a wristband, they -- then their gonna be asked to leave the pool area.

00:31:37

CAM   Okay.

00:31:38

P     Sounds to me like I gotta plant more bougainvilleas around the wall.

00:31:41

F     Yeah. You can get some spiky stuff on the wall.

00:31:43

P     Let them jump into that plant.

00:31:45

F     Alright, so then I’ll [indistinct words]. Do you have the -- the account number?

00:31:50

F     [indistinct words].

00:31:51

F     Hold on. Which one was it?

00:31:53

P     [Sighs]

00:31:54

F     [indistinct words].

P     Invoices.

00:31:55

F     Do you have account number for the [voice obscured by sound from phone]?

00:31:57

F     Yeah, two nineteen.

00:31:58

F     [indistinct voice].

00:32:00

CAM   Wanna ratify the invoices first?

00:32:02

P     Yeah.

[CAM] Follow them up?

F     Okay. Let’s ratify the invoices.

00:32:05

P     Get them done enough to process [indistinct word].

00:32:07

F     Is the --

F     We don’t have [indistinct word] many.

00:32:08

F     are you guys, um --

00:32:09

P     [indistinct word(s)]

00:32:11

CAM   Wanna look at that. Is it the one that’s in the collection packet?

00:32:15

VP    No, this isn’t -- this is for this month.

00:32:16

CAM   Okay.

00:32:17

F     Commit to that.

00:32:18

P     No, I say vote on it.

00:32:20

F     If that’s an old one because the [indistinct word] it’s the same, ah, financials that we have for last month.

00:32:26

F     [indistinct word(s)].

00:32:27

P     Okay.

F     This is a new one for this month.

00:32:30

VP    And we will [word(s) obscured by next speaker].

P     Is that on the late fees?

00:32:31

VP ?  No, it’s not. It’s not gonna be on the [indistinct word]. [Yeah].

00:32:34

P     Oh, good.

00:32:35

F     So...

P     I’ve -- I’ve -- I’ve seen some of them that are ridiculous that one ten.

00:32:39

F     What was the unit number, again?

00:32:41

F     Ah, two nineteen.

00:32:46

F     [Indistinct words].

00:32:52

F     Is it the top or the bottom?

00:32:59

F     [Indistinct words].

00:33:04

F     [Very quiet, indistinct words].

00:33:06

P     [Indistinct word] I say?

00:33:07

F     Ah, two nineteen.

00:33:08

F     [Indistinct words].

00:33:10

P     [Indistinct words].

00:33:11

F     [Indistinct words].

00:33:14

F     [Very quiet voice].

00:33:21

P     Look at this. Two different people. It’s the same...

00:33:23

F     Yeah [indistinct words] on there.

00:33:25

P     Okay, it’s the same unit with...

00:33:27

F     [mm-hmm].

00:33:30

CAM   Let me pull it up and see if there’s a [indistinct word].

P     Okay, yeah, because this is the same unit, but it’s got two different addresses with two different things.

00:33:32

F     [Faint voice at same time P is speaking].

00:33:38

F     mm-hmm.

00:33:39

F     ‘cause it’ll give me previous owners.

00:33:42

P     Okay.

F     So that’s why.

F     Alright.

00:33:44

F     33:44 Um.

00:33:45

P     That one might need to be tabled though. We need to look into that.

00:33:48

F     Wait.

00:33:49

VP    [Indistinct words] because I don’t want them to be [indistinct words].

00:34:01

CAM   Okay.

VP    [Continues speaking, indistinct words].

00:34:03

P     That’s the -- That’s the one with the [indistinct words, CAM speaking over P.]

00:34:05

CAM   I can fill in the account numbers...

00:34:06

P     Yeah.

CAM   [continuing] so I can look it up.

00:34:07

VP    Okay.

P     Yes.

VP    Personal.

00:34:08

VP    Um, I move to void that because

00:34:10

P     I do too because of the situation was fairly [indistinct word].

00:34:13

CAM   What’s the, ah, what’s the total amount?

00:34:16

VP    one oh [indistinct words].

00:34:18

F     One oh [indistinct word].

P     Yeah.

00:34:19

VP    And -- and also we have [indistinct words] charge on that [indistinct words].

00:34:23

CAM   What I’m gonna do is, ah, board make a motion to wave late fees and any other interest fees.

00:34:28

F     Correct.

P     Yeah, because this isn’t a massive amount.

00:34:31

VP    Because she’s not big enough that it might be for...

00:34:33

CAM   That’s fine.

00:34:34

P     Yeah, well it’s because...

00:34:36

P     Yeah, I’ve -- now I understand what happened to the [indistinct word].

00:34:39

F     And I will put, um, the unit in and here, but I will replace that with the account number.

00:34:43

F     Okay.

00:34:46

CAM   Do I have a motion?

00:34:47

P     I agree with that [indistinct words] tragedy.

00:34:50

CAM   Second?

00:34:52

T     I second that.

00:34:54

CAM   All in favor?

00:34:54

P     Aye.

VP    Aye.

00:35:00

CAM   Yep.

00:35:01

CAM   Alright.

00:35:02

CAM   Okay, so now we’re ratifying?

00:35:04

P     Is -- is that it for the lates?

00:35:05

CAM   Do you wanna pass -- pass the [indistinct word]?

00:35:08

CAM   Pass them to Deb after you do ‘em, and I’m gonna write down the details on one side of [indistinct words].

00:35:10

VP    Sure. [Over CAM]

00:35:11

F     Okay.

00:35:13

F     Schribert (sp?), okay?

00:35:14

F     Um, this is for the amount of two thousand and fifty dollars.

00:35:21

F     [Indistinct words]. Ah, this one’s out of reserves. It’s for the hurricane....

00:35:26

F     Okay.

F     [continuing] damage.

00:35:30

P     That was the last one.

CAM   Diane makes a motion. Do we have a second?

00:35:32

P     I motion to approve

00:35:34

F     I second.

00:35:35

F     [Indistinct words].

00:35:36

F     Um, the next one is for [indistinct word] Schribert (sp?). This was, ah, for five fifty. This was also hurricane damage.

00:35:43

F     Okay.

F     Ah, this was [indistinct words].

00:35:51

F     Make a motion, first?

00:35:53

F     And that was [indistinct words].

P     I -- I motion to approve, aye.

00:35:54

F     [Indistinct words].

00:35:59

F     {Indistinct words].

00:36:01

F     Okay.

00:36:02

F     Okay, um, XYZ cleaning.

00:36:05

F     Okay.

F     Three hundred and fifty dollars and fifty -- oh, ex -- excuse me. I’m sorry. Three sixty fifty cents.

00:36:10

F     Okay.

00:36:11

F     Now, that’s to clean the clubhouse, ah, the floors and rug.

00:36:18

P     Oh, yeah. I motion to approve.

00:36:21

CAM   Second?

00:36:22

F     I second, yes.

00:36:24

F     Um, then, ah, we have Five Star [indistinct word] Services.

00:26:29

F     Uh-huh.

00:36:30

F     Ah, this is for two thousand sixteen nineteen dollars and fifty-four cents.

00:36:35

F     Got it.

00:36:37

F     ‘Cause this for the remainder.

00:36:39

F     Ah... yes.

00:36:42

F     Okay.

00:36:43

F     That’s for the, um, electrical service something repairs.

00:36:47

[CAM] You make a motion?

00:36:49

P     I motion to approve.

00:36:51

F     I second.

CAM   Thank you.

00:36:54

P     And that’s -- that’s the final payment on that [indistinct word]...

00:36:58

F     Yes. Yes, [indistinct words].

00:36:59

P     [continuing] for, ah...

F     [Indistinct words, speaking over P].

00:37:01

P     [continuing] the friendly city people.

00:37:04

VP    Ah, [indistinct words] they also have to come in and, ah, remove items from the attic. And he has to come back to do the final report.

00:37:16

VP    Um, because some people have items in their attic, and they have to remove those before [indistinct words] the final report because the city do not accept the initial report.

00:37:25

VP    Um, they said that items have to be removed from the attics, so I’m in the process of finding out who has items in their attics and have them removed.

00:37:35

CAM   That’s all that I came up with the -- Well, some are on the list.

00:37:37

VP    [over previous speaker, indistinct words]. So far only two people are having items in their attics...

00:37:42

CAM   Oh [over previous speaker].

00:37:42

VP    [continuing to speak] are on that list, but I got to, um, I haven’t finished contacting all those people that are on that list [indistinct word, interrupted by P].

00:37:49

P     Am I one of the two? ‘cause...

00:37:51

VP    Yes, one of the two.

00:37:52

P     Okay, ‘cause I’ve been working on that all fricken week.

00:37:55

VP    Yep.

00:37:56

VP    I have one other person that, um, I know for sure has items, and, um, I have a couple of items that I have contact.

00:38:06

CAM   Are these for me?

00:38:07

VP    Yes.

00:38:08

CAM   Okay.

00:38:09

P     Boy, you’re gonna get the pictures of my place...

00:38:11

VP    Right. He’s... [speaking over P].

00:38:16

P     [continuing to speak] probably tomorrow. I’m hoping. [Chuckles] I’ve been working on it all week.

00:38:17

F     Pict -- pictures will suffice and will not be required in some cases.

00:38:20

F     I don’t go up there. And -- But Dan’s space is so fricken small. Um, he’s had to bring stuff down [indistinct words].

00:38:30

P     And I have a lot.

00:32:31

CAM   We have board statement.

00:32:32

VP    Yes. I’m going to make a board statement, please.

00:38:35

P     Okay.

VP    This is for the members.

00:38:37

P     You’re gonna have to speak up.

00:38:39

VP    Yes.

00:38:45

VP    Since the last board meeting, the board has been approached by homeowners because they were shocked and angered by remarks made during the last meeting by other homeowners. The board feels as though it needs to address these concerns and remarks that were made as they were also quite bothered.

00:39:01

VP    Regarding the dissolution of a committee, it is to be done by the board president at a board meeting only. While the board would have liked to have addressed this matter on a personal lever, it is our fiducially responsibility to follow the rules of our governing documents and Florida Statutes.

00:39:21

VP    There was an insinuation made that if you weren’t part of the board’s clique, you aren’t a priority. I, as a Vice President, am insulted and hurt that such a remark was made. We’re not in high school, and this is an extremely childish thing to say. I’m at a loss for words.

00:39:46

VP    This [indistinct word] board has worked day in and day out for the last six years to bring the community together in all sorts of ways, and I think we have done a pretty good job. We will be damned if individuals are going to tear our community apart, cause friction amongst the community because you feel left out. This has never been our intention, and we resent these remarks.

00:40:13

VP    Look, folks, we find it interesting when a remark is made that has no justification to s -- support learning how to live a condo life. And not knowing your documents but making assumptions on what you think is correct and legal when all along you don’t have a clue about what it takes to do this job. But -- but you wanna give your two cents anyway.

00:20:38

VP    It’s frustrating when people are being told something and believing it when it’s completely untrue, is the most devastating of all. I have always been a believer that if you don’t know the answer, don’t try to assume you do and provide false narrative to impress yourself or others.

00:40:57

VP    This happened during the last election. If you want to be on the board, learn your documents and statutes. If I wanna become a doctor, I would not apply for the job and then say, “Well, if I get the job, then I’ll go to medical school.” This job is not a joke. And we take it serious in every way.

00:41:18

VP    We take every homeowner into account in every decision we make. We have said it time and time again, this is about our homes. Now, think about it, our homes, our community. This is an investment. If decisions are not made correctly, we loose it all, and this board will not stand down and allow that to happen. It has happened to other commun -- com – condominium and properties but not under our watch.

00:41:48

VP    We are here for the good of all, not the individual. Thank you for your time and listening on how we feel.

00:41:58

CAM   Very well said.

00:42:03

CAM   I’m gonna open the floor up to any homeowners. The board’s done with their business for the night. Do we have anybody who has anything for the board?

00:42:14

H2    I just have one question. Um, the -- the azalea bushes or whatever. Was there ever a year they didn’t bloom?

00:42:20

F     Yes.

P     Yeah. Oh, yeah.

H2    Oh, okay. So, yeah, what -- what years were those if you remember?

00:42:24

P     Oh, my God. Okay, I was, how long have I been on the board?

00:42:29

H2    Since twenty nineteen.

00:42:31

P     Okay, prior to twenty nineteen they never did.

00:42:33

H2    Oh, okay.

00:42:34

P     It was stix.

00:42:35

H2    Okay. That’s all I need to know. Thanks.

00:42:37

P     Good.

00:42:38

CAM   Thank you. Anybody else?

00:42:41

AC    I have one statement. Um, and, and let me ask Dan. Did, um, did they catch the guy in Altamonte yet?

00:42:49

P     No.

00:42:50

AC    So let your...

00:42:51

H3    Oh, yeah.

AC    This is something for all female -- I don’t know if everybody watches the news. There is a guy that has assaulted, is it three women?

00:43:02

H3    At least three.

00:43:03

AC    At least three. So you heard it.

00:43:06

AC    We want our ma -- and I don’t know if we need to send out email blast about this. But it happened right up the street at Cancun. You know were Cancun Restaurant is?

00:43:14

M     Too close.

00:43:15

AC    Too close for comfort.

00:43:17

M     [Indistinct word].

AC    She was picking up -- she was an Uber delivery driver. She was picking up food from Cancun, and she was assaulted.

00:43:25

AC    Now, they have released a, um...

00:43:29

H4    A videotape.

AC    A videotape, but they have not release -- I don’t know why they haven’t a composite of...

0:43:33

H4    They have.

0:43:34

AC    Did they do a composite?

H4    They did a composite. It looks like a young guy, and he has acne...

AC    [over H, indistinct words].

00:43:38

M     pock on both sides

00:43:39

H4    [continuing] on both sides they said.

00:43:41

AC    I understand.

00:43:42

H4    Yeah. Just...

00:43:43

AC    Just to be kind of diligent of detail at night, you know. Young women, any, any, any of us [indistinct words]. I don’t think it matters what age. He’s attacking women, not men. So just kind of let your neighbors know, you know, if they’re not watching the TV, that he is in Altamonte.

00:44:00

CAM   Thank you for that.

00:44:01

P     Yes.

F     Yep.

00:44:03

CAM   Do we have any other questions or comments?

00:44:06

M     Nope.

F     Do I make a motion to adjourn?

00:44:08

P     Yes.

00:44:09

VP    I second.

00:44:10

P     I motion to adjourn.

00:44:12

F     Seven seventeen.

00:44:13

P     Yep.

00:44:14

CAM   Thank you, guys.

00:44:14

P     Alright, thank you.
